I'm also into breeding grapes. My main interest is to develop VE cool hardy muscat types for the Maritime regions, like the Puget Sound region. My favorite Wild Species is Vitis Coignetiae. I also like Vitis Lincecumii. I have named about 4 of my hybrid vines so far.

Have found that seedlings start well in a 3-4 gallon 'scotch' pot, using a soil mix cut with an extra 10-20 % pumice for extra drainage.
